Bruce Henry Dearing, Sr. was born on Feb.12, 1954, in Russell County, Virginia, and passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, with his beloved truck in Greene County, Tennessee.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dolly Mae Dearing.

He is survived by his children, Christina (Nick) Cole, Rebecca (Brandon) Pounders, and Bruce Dearing, Jr.; grandchildren, Gavyn Harris, Larkin Cole, Shadrach Harris, Faith Dearing, Isabella Dearing, Mallorie Dearing, and Katie Winstead; siblings, Charles Edward (Lorraine) Dearing, Richard (Marilyn) Dearing, Lawrence (Nina) Dearing, Madgeline (Charles) Brown, Joseph (Susan) Dearing, and Elizabeth (Michael) Sane. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends including Stephen Harris, Jorge Olmo Novoa, Sandra McRae. and Ruby King.

Due to his kind and generous nature, the family is asking in lieu of flowers  for anyone to perform a random act of kindness in his memory.

Visitation will be at Jeffers Funeral Chapel in Afton, Tenessee, on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the memorial service following at 7 p.m. Fellowship to follow service at Limestone Freewill Baptist Church Family Life Center in Limestone, Tennessee.
