Greenville gets best of Callaway

The Callaway Cavaliers stepped out of region play and fell to the visiting Greenville Patriots 58-48 on Saturday.
It was a tight game through three periods, but the Patriots outscored the Cavaliers 15-8 in the fourth quarter to secure the 10-point win.
Kobe Jackson led the Cavaliers with 14 points, DQ Wilkerson added nine points, and Duke Simpson and Kedrick Ramsey each scored eight points.
In the girls’ game, Greenville’s Brittany Davis scored 41 points to lead her team to a 98-33 victory.
Chyna Cameron led Callaway with 10 points, and Jasmine Dukes and Leijorey Sanders each scored eight points.
Davis, who made nine 3-pointers. was unstoppable. The senior made seven 3-pointers and scored 32 points in the first half as Greenville soared to a 64-10 lead.
Callaway’s teams return to Region 5-AA play today with games at Temple.
