Mr. Claude B. Hicks II, 73, of LaGrange passed away early Thursday morning at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Claude was born Jan. 17, 1945, in New Brunswick New Jersey the Son of Mrs. Catherine Werner Hicks and the late Dr. Arthur M. Hicks. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church on the Square and retired from mail services of Kleentex with over 25 years’ service.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Catherine W. Hicks of LaGrange, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Sue H. and Harold Edmondson of LaGrange, Georgia; brothers and sister-in-laws, Frank S. and Julie W. Hicks of Lakeland, Florida, and Dr. Joe E. and Yoko O. Hicks of Beppu, Japan; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Claude B. Hicks, II, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday from the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church on the Square with Pastor Cade Farris, Dr. Paul R. Baxter and the Rev. Paul Blair officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. until the service hour of 3 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted, but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church on the Square in memory of Mr. Hicks. Interment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery on the family lot.
