Mr. James Lewis Reason Jr.

James Lewis Reason Jr. age 82 of Hogansville, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018, at his residence.
Mr. Reason was born Dec. 11, 1935, in LaGrange, Georgia, the son of James Lewis Reason Sr. and Sallie Morgan Reason. He served honorably in both the U. S. Army and Navy and was retired as a boilermaker and welder. Mr. Reason was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Union, Local #26 in Savannah, Georgia, and was a member of Union Masonic Lodge #28 F&AM in LaGrange. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pat Reason of Hogansville; three children, Melody Rodgers (Dennis) and James L. “Jamie” Reason III, all of Hogansville, and Sallie Taylor (Randy) of LaGrange; a sister, Wanda Kemp (Gerald) of LaGrange; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Asbury United Methodist Church, Hogansville, with Pastor Doug Bingham officiating.
