Walter Young Murphy of LaGrange, Georgia passed away on Friday May 11, 2018. Walter was born Jan. 10, 1930, in Chester, South Carolina.

Walter is survived by his wife, Marianne Murphy; daughters Clare Murphy Tripp and Julianne Murphy Fore; grandchildren, Andrew Walter Tripp, Marianne Perdue Tripp, Thomas Alton Tripp, Patricia Clare Fore and Robert Callahan Fore; great-grandchildren, Andrew Walter Tripp Jr., Stephen Daniel Tripp, Matthew Young Tripp, Barron Howard Bridges and Wynelle Reese Tripp.

A celebration of life service for Walter will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, LaGrange, Georgia. And the gathering of family and friends will occur immediately following the memorial service.
