Mr. William Thomas Gentry, of LaGrange, passed away on May 19, 2018 at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Gentry was born on Sept. 5, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Parker Gentry and Martha Brodkorb Gentry. 

He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was an electrician by trade. 

Survivors include his wife, Anne Marvil Gentry of LaGrange; children, Laura Gentry Kassel (Mark) of Verona, Wisconsin and Christine Reid (Dwain Tolbert) of River Grove, Illinois; step daughters, Susanne Marvil of LaGrange and Deborah Bouzell (Scott) of Oakland, California; grandchildren, Kyle Reid of River Grove, Illinois, Max, Esther and Rachael Kassel of Verona, Wisconsin, Zachary, Casey and Cameron Bonzell of Oakland, California; siblings, Parker Gentry (Marlene) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Margaret Curcio (Curt) of River Grove, Illinois.

Mr. Gentry enjoyed woodworking, fishing and gardening. 

A memorial reception will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 207 North Greenwood Street, LaGrange, Georgia, 30240.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers that rendered assistance to Mr. Gentry during his extended illness, especially the care given by Michelle Maddox.
