Man shot in leg in West Point

WEST POINT — One man was treated for a gunshot wound Monday night following an incident in West Point.
Marcus William, 27, of West Point, was at a residence in the 1400 block of East 8th Street when he was shot once in the leg, said Capt. Robert Fawley of the West Point Police Department. The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m.
“The case is still under investigation,” the captain said. “We have no suspects.”
William was taken by private vehicle to EAMC-Lanier where he was treated and released, Fawley said.
“We do not have a motive at this time,” he said. “If anyone has any information please call the West Point Police Department.”
