Mr. Willie Norwood

The celebration of life service for Mr. Willie Norwood of Decatur will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Roes Chapel United Methodist Church in Whitesville. Pastor Julian Warner will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Norwood, a native of Whitesville, Georgia, was born Feb. 12, 1938, and was the second of eight siblings born to Ernest B. and Pauline Norwood. He attended Johnson Institute and Carver High School. He was retired from Ford Motor Company after 31 years of service. He was a member of Roes Chapel United Methodist Church.
He leaves to cherish memories, his loving and devoted wife of 56 years Emma Norwood; four children, Sajuana (Tony) Gaston, Terrence (Mavis), Roderick (his fiancé Tess), Latonya (Lamont) Webb; 16 grandchildren; 18 and a half grandchildren; four brothers, James (Alice), Ernest (Margie), Eddie (Jackie), Larry (Ermatine); two sisters, Rachel Smith and Williene Holley; two sisters-in-law, Mary Brewer (Tony) and Ethel (Henry) Hampton; many nieces, nephews, cousins; two aunts, Beatrice Merritt and Dotha Maddox; and loving friends.
The family will be at 115 Whitesville Street in the Whitesville Community.
Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
