Dr. Janice Wylene Rholetter, age 75, of LaGrange, passed away at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice on July 30, 2018. She was born on July 24, 1943, to the late Furman Rholetter and Mary Elizabeth Burke Rholetter of LaGrange. She was a teacher at Troup High School and Auburn University for a combined total of 37 years. Additionally, she was a freelance writer and editor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Rholetter (Beth).

Survivors include her sister, Dr. Elizabeth Rholetter Purdy; nieces and nephews, James Purdy (Christie), Jody Purdy (Christina), Andy Purdy (Heather), Casey Purdy; great nieces and nephews, Ansley Purdy, C.J. Purdy, Mitchell Purdy, Andrew Purdy, Myles Purdy, Luke Purdy, Caitlin Purdy, Emma Grace Purdy; six step grand nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Family will have visitation on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, from noon to 2 p.m. at the East Vernon Baptist Church. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bernie Pasley and the Rev. Don Ellison officiating.
