LaGrange High’s volleyball team outlasted Callaway in a hard-fought match on Tuesday afternoon.
LaGrange won the two sets by identical scores of 25-22.
LaGrange and Callaway both beat Manchester in straight sets later in the day.
While LaGrange is led by veteran head coach Angie Newton, Callaway is under the direction of first-year coach Precious White.
White, who taught at a middle school in Coweta last school year, played volleyball at LaGrange College.
“We’re still a work in progress, but I think the girls have come a long way from when I first saw them,” White said.
Also on Tuesday, Troup went on the road and beat Shaw in straight sets, 28-26 and 25-19.
