Police investigate armed robbery at Motel 6

The LaGrange Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday morning at Motel 6 on Lafayette Parkway.
According to a press release from the LPD, officers responded to the motel at approximately 2:10 a.m. An employee told police that a black male entered the office, pointed a handgun at her and demanded that she give him all of the money. The employee gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the police report.
The suspect then ran out of the motel toward Lafayette Parkway. He is described as a 5-foot-7, heavy set black male. The suspect was wearing blue pants and a gray hoodie. During the robbery, he was wearing a white hard cover face mask, according to police.
