The Troup County School System has discussed the importance of getting the community involved in their superintendent search since it began, and now has taken the step in doing exactly that.

Earlier this week, the school system announced stakeholder meetings meant to get community members involved in the search.

Consultants from McPherson & Jacobson LLC search firm will conduct the meetings, which will gather suggestions from TCSS employees and community members on the qualities they would value in the next superintendent.

Here are the scheduled meetings:

Any business leaders and politicians at the ASC board room on Nov. 13 at 5:30 p.m.

Any parents at the ASC board room on Nov. 14 at 8:30 a.m.

Classified staff only at the ASC board room on Nov. 14 at 2 p.m.

Teachers only at the LaGrange High School Auditorium on Nov. 14 at 4 p.m.

Any community members at LHS Auditorium on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.

Administrative staff at the ASC Board Room on Nov. 15 at 9 a.m.

School board at the ASC Board Room on Nov. 15 at 5:30 p.m.
