City crews are installing new wayfinding signs throughout the community.
The new 11 signs will be located on the boundaries of the city limits of LaGrange directing you to key locations around the city.
Currently, nine signs have been installed at locations including by Sweetland Amphitheatre, Southbend Park, West Point Road, Hamilton Road, Whitesville Road and Roanoke Road, among other locations.
Bobby Carmichael, former Downtown LaGrange Development Authority executive director, came up with the idea of placing wayfinding signs in the community.
“After several years the design, permitting, manufacturing and installation of the wayfinding signs are nearly complete,” Carmichael said. “These signs should present a warm welcome to our visitors and guests while helping them navigate LaGrange. Hopefully these signs can be added to in the future.”
The wayfinding signs match the existing downtown signs in front of City Hall and in the downtown LaGrange area.
