Two of three suspects wanted for armed robbery on Preakness Drive were found and arrested Tuesday morning. Anthony “Tony” Lee Floyd, 18, and Travious Shimon Jennings, 20, were taken into custody without incident at the 800 block of Mooty Bridge Road, according to LaGrange Police Sgt. William Nelson.
According to a LPD police report, officers were conducting surveillance on a vehicle they knew Jennings was in. After surrounding the vehicle in a parking lot, Jennings was found and arrested. Floyd was soon arrested thereafter.
While searching Jennings, officers found three sleeping pills he had on him without a prescription.
According to a press release, Floyd and Jennings are charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes. Nelson said Jennings will also be charged with possession of a dangerous drug.
Floyd, Jennings and Jerry Dean West, 22, entered a residence at the 800 block of Preakness Drive and robbed two victims at gun point on Nov. 9. Two minors were arrested at the scene for participating in planning and executing the robbery.
West is still at large, and is considered armed and dangerous.
“[West] is still outstanding and if anyone has information they can always contact us or contact the Troup County Crime Stoppers,” Nelson said.
According to the press release, West is known to frequent West Point and Valley, Alabama.
