The Troup County Government Center will be closed on Dec. 24 and Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday. It will reopen and resume normal business hours on Wednesday, Dec. 26.

All Troup County Convenience Centers will also be closed on Monday, Dec. 24 and Dec. 25. All convenience centers will reopen and return to normal schedules on Dec. 26. For more information and normal hours of operation, please visit Troupcountyga.org/roads_engineering_sanitation.html.

The county would like to extend a caution to the public to please be aware of the possibility of excess traffic and trash overflow due to the holiday closings. It also strongly encourages citizens who live within the city limits of LaGrange to utilize their extra garbage bin services to help with the overflow of trash. Those will be placed at the Troup County DFACS Building, Hollis Hand Elementary School, Granger Park Track, Brenda Boulevard at Kings Park Lane, on Colquitt Street near McGregor Street, on Daniel Street at Dix Street, Wilkes Street at Unity School.

The Troup County Sheriff’s Office and Troup County Fire Department emergency services will remain available through calling 911.
