Albert Francis Gray, 88, of LaGrange, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019.

Mr. Gray was born June 22, 1930, in Mount Desert, Maine to the late Albert T. Gray and Jennie Walls Gray. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie Aldora Gray; brothers, Doug Gray and Aarod Gray, and sister, Phyllis Chase. All of which were from Mt. Desert Maine.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Bledsoe Gray; daughter, Karen Ann Gray; son, David Gray; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren of Fairfield, Maine along with several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Gray proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an active member of Callaway Baptist Church until his health declined and was retired from the Callaway Educational Association. He loved working in the yard and serving in his church.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2018, in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Pastor Brad Thompson and the Rev. Ronnie Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery at the Mausoleum. The gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. Flowers are accepted or donations can be made to Callaway Baptist Church and West Georgia Hospice.
