A woman has been arrested after an alleged aggravated assault on Tuesday evening that left a 63-year-old female with a fracture in her left eye.
Rebecca Presley, 38, was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated battery, according to a LaGrange Police Department press release. LPD investigators responded to West Georgia Medical Center at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday in response to a subject who had arrived with a facial injury.
Officers spoke to the victim, who said Pressley had assaulted her at a residence on the 400 block of Harwell Avenue. The alleged incident included the victim being struck in the face numerous times, which caused a fractured orbital socket in her left eye, according to the press release.
Presley denied the allegations but was taken into custody and booked at the Troup County Jail.
