Sammy Lee Cotton passed away Tuesday. He was born October 14, 1931 in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Henry Lee and Johnnie Mae Cotton.  He was employed by Milliken & Company, TCSS, and served in the US Army. Mr. Cotton united with Valley Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Linda G. Mitchell, Detroit, MI; Samuel V. (Lera) Cotton, Jeffery I. (Monia) Cotton, Vanessa D. (Joe Henry) Birdsong, Lawanda A. Cotton, Pastor Antonyetta R. (Lewis) Cato, and Montre V. (David) Brown; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Robert “Pilo” (Wendy) Cotton, Newark, NJ; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The Service will be Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Church of the King. The family will be at their home at 117 Timothy Street.
