Troup County recently conducted a back to school supply drive for local children in need at the end of July.

According to a county press release, the school supply drive was organized as a way to give back to the growing community, and all donations will be distributed to schools in the Troup County School System, according to the press release.

The county collected hundreds of contributions from several drop-off sites located throughout the county, which will be used to benefit local elementary and middle school students specifically in need of school supplies. 

The supply drive was held for two consecutive weeks before the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year for the Troup County School System.

In the release the commissioners thanked all those who participated in the school supply drive and contributed to the success of donating school supplies into the hands of children in our community.
