The LaGrange Grangers will try to shrug off their first loss of the season when they host Hampton on Saturday at Callaway Stadium, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m.
After beating Heard County 24-9 in the season opener, LaGrange lost to Callaway 56-10 last week.
A win would give LaGrange a 2-1 record heading into the start of Region 5-AAAA play on Sept. 27 against Central-Carroll.
Hampton (1-1) opened its season with a 15-13 win over Fayette County before losing to Sandy Creek 47-3.
A year ago, LaGrange beat Hampton 8-6 in a defensive slugfest.
“Hampton is so much better than they were a year ago,” LaGrange head coach Chuck Gibbs said. “If we don’t play well, we’re not going to win.”
