Henry Grady Traylor of LaGrange, Georgia, died September 17, 2019, in Schertz, Texas. He was 94. Born February 26, 1925, the son of Charles L. and Elese Bonnet Traylor, he graduated from La Grange High School and served in the Naval Air Corps during World War II from 1943 – 1946. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy in 1949, and completed a Master’s of Science degree in Geology at the University of Iowa in 1951. Mr. Traylor was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Sue Richards Traylor, in 1984; his second wife, Ann Webb Traylor, in 2008, and a grandson, Joseph Greve Traylor, in 2018.

Survivors include four sons by his first wife, Barbara, The Reverend Doctor Charles R. Traylor, Crossville, Tennessee; Major (Retired) Mark A. Traylor, Schertz, Texas; William R. Traylor, New Orleans, Louisiana; Steven R. Traylor, The Woodlands, Texas; their wives, eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are stepdaughter, Sharon Partin Davis, Albany, Georgia; stepson, Hu Partin, LaGrange, Georgia; their spouses, five step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. Several cousins of the Traylor and Loyd families continue to live in the LaGrange area.

A graveside commemoration and interment is planned for October 20th, 2019, 2 p.m., at the family cemetery off West Point Road in LaGrange. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to a favorite church or charity
