It was a tough night for the Troup Tigers, but there’s little time to dwell on their 56-45 loss to the Callaway Cavaliers.

Troup (3-1), which lost for the first time after winning its first three games, opens its Region 5-AAAA schedule on Friday night at Chapel Hill.

“The thing that concerns you is you wonder how much that took out of us,” Troup head coach Tanner Glisson said following Friday’s loss. “Good teams don’t lose two weeks in a row, so we’ve got to be ready.”

Also on Friday, LaGrange (2-1) begins Region 5-AAAA play with a home game against Central-Carroll.

Callaway (3-1) will jump into its Region 5-AA schedule on Thursday against Temple at Callaway Stadium.

Lafayette Christian (4-1) will aim for its fifth consecutive win when it visits Calvary Christian on Friday.
