For years, Patrick Sims has wanted to break off on his own and run his own real estate business. 

Now, he has accomplished that dream and officially opened a LaGrange franchise location for EXIT Realty Advantage. 

“The actual development of this franchise has been in the works since about April,” said Sims, owner and broker of the location. “I liked what the franchise had to offer as far as technology and training. They had a lot of systems already in place.” 

Sims went through training and multiple meetings with the cooperation. He was then able to buy the franchise and move into the space on South Davis Road. 

“Once I made the step, it went pretty fast,” Sims said. “It’s been about two months since I left another company and got this one really underway.” 

Through the whole process, Sims said he had his family supporting him every step of the way. 

“My father really helped me out,” Sims said. “I have been able to learn things along the way from working at other offices.” 

Going further, Sims is excited to be a broker out on his own.  

“Right now, it’s just me, and I am looking for agents,” Sims said. “I am excited that I am able to bring to LaGrange a company that is looking to make better agents and provide good services for the residents of Troup County.” 

Currently, Sims said he wants to have at least five agents within the next year. Then, grow more and more the years to follow. 

“Mainly, what I am focused on is bringing good agents,” Sims said. “A good agent is someone who is knowledgeable about the process of buying or selling the home and thinks of their client first and then helps guide them from what their needs are.” 

Whether it is helping clients find financing, finding the right house or even finding a house with the perfect kitchen cabinets, Sims wants agents that care. 

“EXIT is one of the fastest growing real-estate franchises in north America,” Sims said. “I am just excited to open one here in LaGrange. I’ve have had it in the back of my mind to open my own office for years.”
