Keep Troup Beautiful partnered with Troup County for a community beautification project on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the William J. Griggs Recreation Center, a recreation facility owned and operated by Troup County Parks and Recreation.

Volunteers and community members participated in the beautification project, which included planting four trees at the facility, as well as spreading pine straw and mulch around the playground, park benches and existing trees.

The community project, led by Keep Troup Beautiful, was proposed as a way to give back to the community through promoting visual enhancements to the already existing recreation facility, as well as to build and strengthen community relationships. The successful project was funded by Troup County through SPLOST dollars.
