At 11:36 p.m. on Friday, officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to reports of an injured person on the 100 block of Turner Street.

According to a press release from the LPD, officers spoke with the victim, who said that she was in a verbal dispute with her boyfriend about her wanting to go out. 

Officers were told that the altercation became physical, and her boyfriend, identified as Nicklous Staples, struck her several times to the face. His fist reportedly knocked out her lower front teeth. Staples reportedly ran off upon the officers’ arrival.
