Carolyn Diane Phillips passed away Wednesday. She was born June 17, 1959 to Mrs. Virginia Phillips-Purnell and the late, Mr. Hollis Phillips, Sr.

She united with Ward Chapel C. M. E. Church, graduated Class of 1978 from LaGrange High, and Troup Tech; and was previously employed by Church’s Chicken, Big Lots, and Publix.

Survivors include one daughter, Angela Renee Phillips (Joseph) Rutledge; son, Christopher Eugene Phillips; three grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Virginia Phillips (James) Purnell; one brother, Hollis (Christine) Phillips, Jr., three sisters, Lynn Marie Phillips, Susan Elaine Phillips-Waajid, Linda Faye Phillips; four aunts, Ruth Jennings, Mary Black-Ford, Theretha Black, and Diane Hammett; three uncles, Roy Huzzie, Frank Huzzie, Jessie Louis Huzzie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The Service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Faith Temple Church. The family will be at their home at 211 Jasmine Lane.
