The Covenant Scots took the lead with four seconds to play, and they held on for an 80-78 win after the LaGrange College Panthers missed a shot at the buzzer.

The Panthers were trailing by two points when Julian Cameron made a layup with 24 seconds left to tie it.

That basket capped a 7-0 run for the Panthers, who trailed 78-71 with 1:54 to play.

Cameron, the Panthers’ leading scorer this season, scored all seven points during the run.

In the end, though, it was the Scots walking away with the win thanks to Chris Barnette’s game-winning shot.

Cameron led the Panthers with 23 points, and Lincoln Anderson had 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Arthur Jones provided a spark off the bench with 10 points.
