Mrs. Lola Katherine Cabe-Mitchell, 84, of Sugar Hill, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, in Cumming, Georgia. She was born Nov. 27, 1935, in LaGrange, the daughter of the late Mr. Gene Preston Autrey and the late Mrs. Maudie Lee Hester. She loved watching tennis and soccer, doing word searches, playing games and crochet. 

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Roy Mitchell; children, Raymond Boyce Cabe, John “Pat” Preston Cabe, Diane “Dee” Elaine Simpson; and several brothers and sisters. 

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by sons and daughters-in-laws, James Luther and Shirley Cabe of Sugar Hill, Georgia, Paul T. and Michelle Cabe of Eminence, Kentucky; brothers and sister-in-law, Alvin Antrey of Orlando, Florida, Nathan and Ruby Autrey of Cartersville, Georgia; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, from 11 a.m. until noon. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 at noon from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Reverend Jim Grieme officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Norcross Cooperative Ministry, P.O. Box 1489, Norcross, Georgia 30091.
