Pastor Jessie Mae Edmondson Stenson passed away Thursday. She was born Sept. 21, 1936, at Wares Crossroad in LaGrange, Georgia, to the late Razz Edmondson, Sr. and Martha Zackery Edmondson.
“Shang” as she was known, worked for Troup County School System and Leisure Living Assistant Living Facility; and was former Pastor of Prince House of God.
Survivors include her daughter, Telesa Edmondson Bankston, Norcross, Georgia; sister, Mary Helen Dixon, LaGrange; sister-in-law, Mary Ways Edmondson, LaGrange; one granddaughter; one grandson; and an array of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and relatives. The celebration of life service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Smyrna Baptist Church.
Pastor Lonnie Walls will officiate. Interment will follow at Southview Cemetery.
The family will be at their home at 603 Harvell Avenue.
