During Tuesday night’s LaGrange City Council meeting, LaGrange Mayor Jim Thornton said that 10 LaGrange police officers could’ve been exposed to someone with COVID-19 over the weekend. However, those fears have been alleviated.
Shortly after the council meeting, LaGrange Police Chief Lou Dekmar said that results on the woman in question were negative.
As many as 10 officers had been exposed to a woman while serving a search warrant over the weekend and later found out she was quarantined. However, Dekmar said Tuesday night that the results of her test came back negative.
The search warrant involved a case where a man was robbed during a firearm sale Saturday in the area of Callaway Stadium.
