Second Troup County resident dies from COVID-19

A second person in Troup County has died from complications related to COVID-19.
In its evening update, the Georgia Department of Public Health reported a second death in Troup County. The second death was a 66-year-old female with underlying health conditions, according to the GDPH website.
Troup County’s first death was on March 26. It was a 61-year-old female with underlying health conditions.
The state of Georgia as a whole has 7,558 confirmed cases of COVID-19. A total of 1,393 of those required hospitalizations. There have been 294 deaths statewide.
