Mr. Dewey Clinton Gilbert Jr. passed away on April 24, 2020. He was born in LaGrange on February 21, 1966, to the late Dewey Clinton Gilbert Sr. and Barbara Upchurch Preavy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gilbert is preceded in death by his stepfather, Gary Preavy and his sister, Cathy Fortner. Mr. Gilbert was a Baptist. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a skilled mechanic, fixing cars and other small engines. 

Mr. Dewey Clinton Gilbert Jr. is survived by his siblings, Todd Preavy, Brian Preavy, Dylan Preavy, Jessie Timbrook, and Janice Gilbert; his nieces and nephews, April Golden (Anthony), Mary Ray Preavy, Kendall Cummings (Corey), John Preavy, and Cassie Preavy; his great-niece and great-nephew, Phoebe Cummings and Aaron Golden.
