Elliebelles Boutique on Bull Street received a new and improved look and location these past few months as owners Holly Hunt and Marcia Hansen took the setbacks from COVID 19 and twisted them into a new and exciting project for their clothing store.

While closed, the women behind the clothes at Elliebelles decided they would have to push business a little bit more in order to stay a small local business in LaGrange. They relocated the business from Church Street to 131 Bull Street. With all the changes of the pandemic, Hansen and Hunt had time to develop a plan for their boutique.

“We knew we would have to do a bit more,” Hansen said. “So, we started thinking of ways we could make changes.”

Social media had always been a friend to Elliebelles, using platforms such as Instagram and Facebook as ways to market and sell clothing to the LaGrange community. However, what the store was missing was the foot traffic. Being located just a few blocks from the busiest part of LaGrange, Elliebelles was not present in the opportunities that being located downtown brought.

“What we were missing was the foot traffic, and we thought moving locations was going to help us fix that problem,” Hansen said.

When it comes to goals, Elliebelles has always tried to meet the needs LaGrange had in the fashion industry. Elliebelles Boutique offers a trendy, southern chic collection of clothing for women. The store also offers jewelry, shoes and accessories for occasions as special as a wedding party to as casual as a day at work.

“Our goal has always been to provide what is needed, what is wanted, and what is lacking in our community,” Hunt said. “We want to find the needs in LaGrange that are not being met, and we want to provide those as much as we can.”

Hunt and Hansen want for new customers to be welcomed into the store. The boutique tries to keep the trendiest clothes in store at the most affordable price.

“We try to stick to women’s apparel with good price points,” Hunt said. “We want women in our community to be able to have cute clothes that make them feel good about themselves when they go out and have dinner or something.”

Elliebelles relocated to 131 Bull Street, will be opened Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
