The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting LaGrange and surrounding area residents to join the LaGrange Virtual Pep Rally set for Tuesday, Aug. 18 at noon.

According to a press release from the Alzheimer’s Association, the virtual event will allow past, present and future participants to learn more about the LaGrange Walk to End Alzheimer’s that will take place on September 12, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

The LaGrange Walk to End Alzheimer’s that typically attracts hundreds each year to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease will look different this year.

The Alzheimer’s Association said that instead of hosting a large gathering, the Alzheimer’s Association is encouraging participants to walk as individuals or in small groups on sidewalks, tracks and trails across LaGrange.

Alzheimer’s Association staff and volunteer event committee will be on the webinar to answer any questions about the new Walk – Reimagined, and provide interested community members and local businesses with materials and tools to start their team.
