Mrs. Marie Harvey Rutledge passed away on Sept. 7, 2020 at her residence in Monroe, Georgia, after a lengthy illness.  Mrs. Rutledge was born on July 22, 1937, in Meriwether County but lived most of her life in LaGrange.  Her parents, Joe Allen Harvey and Elvie Estelle Ward Harvey preceded her in death as well as her brothers, Dwight Harvey, “Little” Joe Harvey and Vance Harvey.  Survivors include her husband of over 65 years, Charles Aaron Rutledge; son, Charles Anthony Rutledge (Michelle); daughter, Debra Roberts; grandchildren, Jessica Lewis Melson (Michael), Jill Lewis (Keith), Jennifer Lewis McKinnely (Marcus) and Logan Charles Rutledge; great grandchildren, Madeline Allen and Makaila Trowell; nieces, nephews and extended family.  Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Shadowlawn Cemetery, Hillview East with Pastor David Adamson officiating. Family will greet friends at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand beginning at 10 a.m.
