LaGrange Academy secures road win

LaGrange Academy made easy work of home-standing Gatewood on Tuesday on the way to a 14-3 victory.
After a scoreless first inning, LaGrange Academy had a combined 14 runs over the next four innings, and the game ended after five innings because of the run rule.
Mackenzie Jones had a hit and two RBIs for the Lady Warriors, and she also walked twice and scored two runs.
Natalee Waddell had a double and two RBIs, Kelsey Cotton and Amber Corley each had a double and an RBI, Lanie Lackey had a hit and an RBI, Kayla McBride had two RBIs, Caley Worsley had a hit while walking twice, and Morgan Bartlett had a single.
Corley pitched a five-inning complete game, and she gave up two hits while striking out 11.
