PureLife, Beacon Brewery, and DASH are teaming up once again.
PureLife Studios will host award winning Abby the Spoon Lady and Tater Boys on Oct. 4 at the Doc Spiers gathering place.
Beacon Brewing Co. will also be serving beer, wine and a specialty fall cocktail.
“We are so excited to partner with PureLife Studios and Beacon again,” said DASH Marketing and Community Outreach Manager Gina Snider. “They are such an important part of the Hillside community.”
It will be outdoors and masks, social distancing, and bringing lawn chairs from home will be encouraged. Tickets will be $22.50 for general admission.
In an effort to #SAVEOURSTAGES, Maggie McDonald, owner/operator of PureLife Studios, has found a way to continue high-quality concerts with limited seating so both artist and venue can “survive” through the pandemic.
“Spreading the music out over a two-day period by presenting at both Pure Life Studios, an indoor venue, and presenting at Doc Spiers, an outdoor relic in the Historical Hillside Neighborhood, the collaboration is a great way to keep the neighborhood active and stay planted in the community,” McDonald said. “Jumping on board with Beacon, for each concert ticket sold $1 goes toward neighborhood revitalization efforts in LaGrange.”
Beacon Brewery has recently curated the Hillside IPA that will support neighborhood revitalization efforts in partnership with DASH throughout LaGrange.
For every purchase of a pint or 6-pack in the Beacon taproom, $1 will go toward neighborhood revitalization efforts in LaGrange.
“A delicious juxtaposition of tradition and innovation; we combined everything we loved about IPAs into the beer for your drinking pleasure,” said Beacon Brewery owner Chase Hudson. “Expect to be bombarded with pine, citrus and tropical fruit all in one glass.”
Artists’ Abby the Spoon Lady and the Tater Boys play old-time mountain music with stories and laughs sprinkled throughout the evening. Abby the Spoon Lady is a percussionist and storyteller who lives in Asheville, North Carolina.
Doors open 6:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. Doc Spiers is located at 610 Jefferson Street in LaGrange.
“Having it at Doc Spiers brings more attention to the venue,” Snider said. “We are wanting more people to use the venue. It is rentable, and we at DASH love partnering up with anyone in the community. It is a great outdoor venue.”
