Janice Ann Wilkerson

1945-2020

Janice Ann Wilkerson passed away Tuesday.

She was born Nov. 25, 1945, in Franklin, Georgia to the late John C. Wilkerson and Annie Wilkerson (Person). She graduated from Mary Johnson High School and moved to LaGrange where she worked for Milliken Textiles for several years and afterwards became well-known for her cooking at Ruth’s Place and for baking cakes.

 Janice was an active member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in LaGrange, for a number of years.

Survivors include her son, Tim (Camille) Wilkerson; four grandchildren; great granddaughter;  sisters, Katie Nelson (Willie), Patricia Nelson (Eugene), Judy Harrison(Clarence), Jackie Bowles(Jimmy) and one brother Tyrone Wilkerson(Judy) along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The Service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
