The season came to a close for the Callaway softball team with a loss to Banks County in the first round of the Class AA state tournament.

Callaway, which finished fourth in Region 5-AA, was on the road against Banks County, the Region 8-AA champion.

Banks County won game one 5-0, and it finished the sweep with a 12-0 victory.
