For 21 years, Ivy Sears has been serving the suburbs of Stockbridge, Georgia in real-estate and now she’s coming back to her roots of LaGrange.

“LaGrange is my hometown,” Sears said. “I decided to bring and expand my business to this area to get back to the community.”

Sears opened Ivy League Realty in LaGrange a few months ago but due to COVID her grand opening was pushed back until Thursday.

Surrounded by her friends, family and members of the LaGrange Troup County Chamber of Commerce, Sears welcomed the community to her real-estate company Thursday afternoon.

Sears said since founding Ivy League Realty, Sears has built a network of fellow agents that help real estate buyers and sellers throughout Henry County and now Troup County.

“I am still living in Atlanta, but I am frequenting LaGrange about three times a week,” Sears said. “We have 13 agents on the team, and we all kind of bounce between Stockbridge and LaGrange.”

Going forward, Sears hopes to expand into Columbus and the Alabama area.

“We are doing residential,” Sears said. “We do help people to locate homes that are looking to rent, offer credit assistance, lender financing and all of the above.”

The real-estate office is located at 100 Smith Street or by calling (678) 858-2919.

“Those looking for a realtor should choose me because I am very detailed,” Sears said. “I am very professional and very honest.”

Ivy League is also now hiring agents for the expanding firm.

“I am extremely excited to start this new journey,” Sears said. “I’m so ready to help and to give back to my community.”

LaGrange Mayor Jim Thornton was also in attendance to congratulate Sears on expanding into LaGrange.

“We thank you for your business,” Thornton said. “LaGrange is a great place. You obviously already have a great network of friends and colleagues, and we know that’s going to grow.”
