Dorothy Darden, 94, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.
Mrs. Darden was born in LaGrange, daughter of the late John Lee Rutledge and Pearl Brown Rutledge. She was a lifelong resident of LaGrange and was a member of First United Methodist Church of LaGrange. Mrs. Darden was employed with Callaway Mills as an Executive Assistant for many years. After the birth of her daughter, Leigh-Ann, she resigned from Callaway Mills and stayed home to take care of her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Darden was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Johnson Darden.
Survivors include her daughter, Dr. Leigh-Ann Heuser and her husband Robert Heuser; and twin grandchildren, Christian Darden Heuser and Charles Rutledge Heuser.
Due to COVID-19, the family will have a private graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Georgia Hospice or the National Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Mrs. Dorothy Darden.
