LOUIS (LEWIS) DIXON

1946-2020

Louis (Lewis) Dixon, 74, was born June 17, 1946 and died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

A native of LaGrange, he was the son of the late Enoch and Mae Goode Dixon.  Lewis, affectionately known as “PIMP,” attended Ethel W. Kight School.  He held employment for 14 years with the Troup County School System as a Nutrition Assistant.

Survivors include a son, Frederick Render (Rachel Gray); a daughter, Kimberly Gray; three brothers, Enoch (Barbara) Dixon, Charlie (Jessie) Dixon, and John Dixon; two sisters, Eva (Roy) Cameron and Lona (Donald) Lovelace; an aunt, Genelle Baker; three grandchildren; special friends, Anita Sanders and Melvin Brown and several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Louis (Lewis) Dixon will be held Friday, Dec. 11, 202 at 12 p.m. at Southview Cemetery.  Pastor James Woods will officiate.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 10 from 6 to 7 p.m. at West Georgia Mortuary.  The family will receive friends at 143 East Greenwood Street and 122 Royal Court.
