Two LaGrange men injured in Borton Street shooting

Two men were hospitalized after shooting each other early Saturday morning, according to a LaGrange Police Department press release.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 3 a.m. on Dec. 12. Officers arrived at the 600 block of Borton Street and found Clifton Alan Callaway, 22, of LaGrange, with an apparent gunshot wound to his abdomen. Callaway was airlifted to an Atlanta area hospital, according to the release.
After investigating further, LPD learned that another subject, Ahmaury Sessions, 23, of LaGrange, had been admitted to Piedmont Hospital in Newnan with a gunshot wound. According to the release, officers went there and met with Sessions, who had been shot once in the arm.
“The investigation has revealed that Callaway and Sessions were involved in an altercation with each other,” the release reads. “During this altercation both subjects produced firearms and fired at one another, each striking the other with gunfire.”
