The LaGrange Grangers used a strong fourth quarter to beat Washington 62-52 on Tuesday night.
LaGrange (4-3 overall) evened its record at 1-1 in the LaGrange Toyota Classic, and it will play Dutchtown on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Trailing by three points, LaGrange outscored Washington 19-6 in the fourth quarter to turn a tight game into a blowout.
Kobe Jones and Javon Brown each scored 18 points for LaGrange, and Garrett Jacobsen added nine points, with seven of those points coming during the decisive fourth quarter.
Malik Hall added seven points with two 3-pointers, and Mydarius Scott scored six points.
The Grangers were trailing 46-43 heading into the fourth quarter, and they were still down 50-46 when they went on a 14-0 run.
The Grangers tied it at 50-50 on a Jacobsen basket, and Scott converted a three-point play to give the home team the lead for the first time in the final quarter.
The Grangers continued to pull away, and they put an exclamation mark on the victory with an alley-oop from Jones to Brown with 1:10 to play.
LaGrange will have a chance to finish the LaGrange Toyota Classic with a winning record if it beats Dutchtown.
