Police search for suspect who pistol-whipped man on South Greenwood Street

A LaGrange man is wanted for aggravated assault and other charges after allegedly “pistol-whipping” a man in the parking lot of Hot Spot Tuesday evening.
According to the LaGrange Police Department, at around 6:40 p.m. officers responded to Hot Spot, located at 523 South Greenwood Street in reference to an injured subject. Upon arrival, they located the victim, who said he had been assaulted by an individual in the parking lot. The victim was treated at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.
The suspect has been identified as Roy Turner Jr., 41. Arrest warrants have been obtained for Turner for the charges of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes.
Turner has not been located as of this writing.
