Police seek suspect from morning robbery at Wendy’s

Between the hours of 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. Friday, an unknown man entered the Wendy’s store on Lafayette Parkway and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of money.

According to LaGrange Police Department Sgt. Robert Kirby, the suspect stood outside the back door while employees were setting up for the morning shift before the store was open. Kirby said when an employee exited the back door the suspect pointed a gun at them and told all the employees to go to a back room.

No one was injured during the incident. After the suspect left the restaurant, employees called 911 at 6:01 a.m.

Kirby said the suspect was a black male approximately 5-foot-8 and was wearing a dark colored shirt and pants. He noted that the suspect was also wearing a stocking cap.

Kirby said they have no suspects at this time.
