A 48-year-old LaGrange woman was killed in a single-car accident on Hogansville Road Wednesday afternoon, according to Georgia State Patrol Sgt. Scott Jeter.

The woman has not yet been identified, pending notification of next of kin.

According to Jeter, a Honda Civic was travelling south on Hogansville Road, went off the right side of the road and overturned.

GSP was notified of the accident around 3:16 p.m. The woman, who was alone in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Jeter said he was not sure what caused the woman to turn off the roadway.

Jeter said the accident occurred about 0.9 miles south of the intersection with West Hopson Road. GSP was still clearing the scene as of about 4:15 p.m.
