Woman arrested for allegedly injuring man with knife

The LaGrange Police Department has charged a woman with aggravated assault – family violence act (FVA) for reportedly slashing a man with a knife.
According to an LPD press release, Marquesa Deering slashed the man at 810 Meadow Terrace in LaGrange after an argument.
Officers responded at about 4 a.m. Friday morning and found the man with “superficial lacerations” to his neck and torso.
Superficial lacerations are sometimes defined as cuts that do not involve fat or muscle tissue and do not require stitches.
Deering was arrested and charged, according to the release.
She is being held at the Troup County Jail.
