LaGrange tennis teams open with wins

LaGrange High’s girls’ soccer team opened the season with a 3-2 victory over visiting Northside-Columbus on Tuesday.
Sydney Ormsby led the way with two goals and an assist, and freshman Sam Cottle had one goal
Rachel Harry led the defensive effort with three waves.
LaGrange had 15 shots, including 11 shots on goal.

TENNIS: LaGrange High’s boys’ and girls’ teams opened the season with wins over Shaw and Newnan.
After sweeping Shaw on Monday, LaGrange eased past Newnan on Tuesday.
In the Newnan match, the LaGrange girls’ team won 5-0, while LaGrange’s boys’ team prevailed 3-2.
Both LaGrange teams beat Shaw 5-0.
