A man wanted in connection to a January murder in LaGrange was arrested on Friday.
Police arrested Calvin Demond Sanders Friday in Woodbury in connection with the Jan. 17 murder of Deandre Rashad Cotton, according to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department.
Cotton, 27, was found dead in January with a gunshot wound to the head on the front porch of a residence at 115 Wright Street.
The other victim, a 28-year-old man, was shot multiple times, but survived and was released from the hospital after a day or two, said LPD Det. John Slonaker in January.
Slonaker said then the incident was the result of a personal dispute that unfolded at the house and said it was not pre-meditated.
Sanders is being charged with aggravated assault with a gun and murder and was taken to Troup County Jail.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact LPD at (706) 883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at (706) 812-1000.
